SHAQ

Shaquille O'Neal has been having a monstrous, MVP type season. He was player of the month for November and player of the week for the first week of December. He has led the Lakers to the best record in the NBA, and has been even more dominant than usual. He has really stepped up his defense, and is amongst the leaders in block shots, rebounds, field goal percentage, and of course, in points per game. He is a very generous person. Just recently, for a Christmas gift exchange, he gave Derek Fisher a platinum Rolex watch way over the spending limit that was set. Shaq has just really been having fun this season, and it shows. He is definitely the leader of the team, and will get lead this Laker team to a very victorious season and postseason.

Derek Fisher

This is my favorite player of all time. He may not be as flashy as Kobe Bryant, as dominating as Shaquille O'Neal, or have as good of a stroke as Glen Rice, but he tries just as hard...if not more. He's my favorite player of all time, and there's MANY reasons why. The main reason is because he's all EFFORT. Whenever he's on the court, he gives everything he's got. He sacrafices his body, takes numerous charges, dives for every lose ball, plays tough defense, and just straightout hustles. The great thing about Derek Fisher is that his demeanor on and off the court is absolutely admirable. I've met him once (11/20/99), and I'm telling you now that it was and will be the most memorable moment of my life.

Rick Fox's game has undoubtedly stepped up lately and along with Fisher and Horry, has really helped establish a solid bench for the Los Angeles Lakers. He is capable of offensive outbursts, plays good defense, and is a great ball handler. He will really help this team if he continues to play the way he has been playing.

Robert Horry's game is really picking up these days. He still doesn't look for his shot much these days, but he has played intense defense getting numerous great block shots, steals, rebounds, and together with A.C Green, they have really held their on at the power forward position. If Robert Horry keeps playing like he has been, there will be need for all this foolish rumor talk about Glen Rice being traded for a power forward. Robert Horry is among one of my favorite players because of his hustle out there on the court. He's really beginning to be a crowd favorite at Staples center, and it's no wonder because of all the great things he does out there.
